Recycling
Copes now participates in the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority’s single stream recycling program. Single stream recycling simply means that paper and cans/bottles no longer need to be separated at the curb; they are collected all together and separated out at the recycling plant in Hartford. Solid Waste
Household Solid Waste is defined by the Connecticut General Statutes as “unwanted or discarded solid, liquid, semisolid or contained gaseous material”. For practical purposes, it is easier to define what Copes can not accept in if it is thrown out with normal household trash.
